Putting "cultured stone" around foundati

Any of you ever done it? On a scale of 1-5 (with 5 being tough) how's it rank? Currently the foundation is iceblock. Do I cover first with exterior plywood? then what...wire? then mortar. Let cure, then mortar on stones? any advice would be appreciated. Thanks...Oh also which stone you went with.

We will be doing this in the spring except that our cabin is built on piers. I'm not sure quite what my DH is planing to put the stone on, but he has a plan.

Was thinking about this my self, as our cabin is also on piers.
Wondering about sealing it for moisture/frost?

I haven't done it, but a friend of mine who does tile had a customer ask him to do it and he says it's a LOT easier than setting tile!

So I would say on a 1 - 10 that tile is an 8 so take it from there.
