Hey Everybody,
Sorry it's been so long since the last update. We have been making some progress. The electrical is almost finished, in fact next week both the electrical and plumbing should be done. And then we'll be ready for the 'combo' inspection. And once we pass that, then it's on to insulation and drywall! Then after that all the finish and trim stuff.

So, here are the pics...

Drilling holes to run the wires

But we had to step up to a 'step bit' as the hole saws couldn't handle...

oh, and of course a new drill operator and protective gear

The main is hooked up...

Oh, and this, well this is the master shower...

It still needs to be hot mopped before the combo inspection, and for that the plumber needs to fill in the hole he made from moving the drain!

Oh, and here's Terri climbing through the rafters running the wiring...

And yet again we find more areas where the framers crew showed off their amazing skills....

This is one of 3 screws we found that stuck down into the various rooms where drywall needs to go! We had to remove them.

The main panel...

it'll be finished next week.

The homeruns above the main panel...

The cable lines at the video distribution box...

Some of the home network lines at the low voltage box where the network will connect...

Oh, and this is the service platform we made for around the furnace....

and it is code that we have to have one!

I'll try and post again next week if we can wrap all this up!

Rassd, what is the purpose of the "service platform", is it for a technician to perch on to service the unit?

Tuff,
That's exactly why it's there. It's code if the Furnace ever needs service. So we built an elevated platform so there will still be insulation underneath it. Normally it's just plywood on the rafters. We have a small section of that and then the 4x8 platform is raised on 2x8's.

Plus we've put a light directly across from the service panel. So it will be easier to work on.
