cinder blocks

How can I get cinder blocks apart that were part of a porch without breaking them (they are cemented together)? I want to reuse them to make an outdoor oven.

They really aren't supposed to come apart, unlike bricks which are solid and much more dense. When they separate bricks they chisel the mortar joint. Normally if you do this with block it will shatter. The only way I know to do it is with a saw equipped with a blade to cut masonry. As long as they are hollow this should work but it going to be nearly impossible to clean the surface to reuse them Good luck.
