Tip for retrieving something you drop down the sink.
Just watch..... Its quick and useful!
Good for jewlery, contact lenses, etc.

Excellent idea - but was it out of voice/video synch when you watched it? It was fine anyway, because it was clear what he was doing!

For you folks on dial up like mine - you need a wet/dry vac (not a regular vacuum cleaner!) a pair of old panty hose or something similar to use as a catcher & a bit of tape if there is a drain overflow hole - you want to plug that up. Now put the panty hose or screen over the end of the wet/dry vac hose end and cup it in a little to make a catch place. Turn on the vac & put the hose down to the drain hole. It will suck up a ring, bottle cap, coin - whatever has dropped down the drain and catch it in the screen.

Finally, you want to run some water to replace what you sucked up out of the gooseneck, or you will get sewer gas coming back up the drain.
