I have an old incubator they dont make the parts for anymore. Stupid me bought some hatching eggs and THEN went and got the incubator out of the barn only to find ofcourse that the heating element had corroded and broke.
i was in a total panic to get an incubator working before my eggs arrive. It would take too long to order one at a decent price and the local ones are too expensive as i will only need it for this year i didnt want to invest the money in a new one for only one hatch. and i dont know anyone that has one i can borrow.
so i thought id be smart after researching home made incubators.
I wired in a light bulb where the heating element goes and presto! it works! suprisingly enough even the wafer is still working after spending 20 yrs in storage outside!
I would like to replace the wafer just in case tho.
