On the thread about the Winchester Wildcat somebody mentioned the Savage 22.

From the picture I see it has the new trigger that they have come out with. Have never had one in my hands, but have wondered how they are.

Anyone that has a new trigger rifle, either rim or center fire, give a shout about how it is.

I am curious.

I have one in .243 I purchased for my daughter. Extremely accurate gun with a very light and crisp trigger. Shoots several different brands of ammo without losing groupings. Wasn't a big fan of the old Savage rifles but a huge fan of them now. The accu-trigger was easy to adjust and the instructions are very easy to follow if you are not familiar with adjustable triggers.

Shot several - all factory adjusted no fiddlin' and different calibers. All really smooth.

My Savage with AccuTrigger very quickly became my favorite centerfire. As said above, it has a very light and crisp trigger off the rack. Best I've shot in the price range.

I have the Mark II FV in 22 and love the accutrigger.

I hate two stage triggers, and that's why i don't like the accutrigger... I figure they should come with a decent single stage trigger in the first place...

The trigger takes some getting used to, but generally comes preset to a perfectly fine hunting weight, If not, adjustment is a breeze. If you can shoot a Glock, then you can shoot one.

I have a Savage Model 12 Low Profile Varminter in 22-250 with a 1 in 9 inch twist heavy barrel. This is my first Savage and Accutrigger and I LOVE it. Very light but crisp trigger pull. It runs even up with my Voere Model 2155 double set trigger 7mm Rem. Mag. rifle minus the recoil of course.
