View Full Version : My $40 .410
I picked this up a few months ago. Saw it at a gunshow. I thought it was a parts gun at first or an old toy. Asked the Vendor what it was he said "Im not sure its a .410, and is shootable" Well it had a $40 price tag on it so I was like "well why not". Within 10 min's of walking around the gun show a few people asked me about it, then a few "older" guys told me what it was.
Garcia Bronco .410,
Thought it would look nice by the AR-7
Ive seen one on gun broker going for $200

I agree, congrats.
Sometimes the "cool" factor outweighs the "need" factor.
Very cool, nice find...........

Cool, took my first deer with a 410 and 00 buck and too many squirrels to count.

*I've always loved combo guns, and i bought a couple of those chambered in 22lr/.410 waaaaaaaaay back when...
*I bought them to shoot pigeons and sparrows with around the barns... *One shot so bad (rifle bbl.) it wasn't even usable, the other was acceptable and i shot a LOT of pigeons with it...

That's really neat, Mr B! I've ran across a few Garcias over the years but never that model. The 'Swing-Break' is not a common design.
Do you have a clue to its year of mfr? I might have to get out my Numrich catalog just to check that out. Very interesting.
I'd say $40 well-spent if for nothing more than the hours of entertainment you'll get researching it. I love those kinds of finds! 8)
No Idea on the year it was made just a SN# on the bottom of the pistol grip, I was told they were made in Italy from '68 to '78.

Its kind of funny on how old posts can come back, I first started this post over a year ago.
I just looked on an online site and they are selling a Garcia Bronco .22 for $299, I still came out like a bandit for $40, Ill take it squirrel hunting someday?
I mostly use it when teaching friends or family members on how to shoot a shotgun the .410 doesn’t seem to scare them compared to the H&R single 12 gauge.
