I studied it carefully at the Shotshow, and while it looks ok, I don't like the way it is put together at all, and I had really high hopes for it as well.

(Bump) Up date
I have been asking around about this rifle at the local gun stores, and they are telling me that production has been way down, and that there were a couple sold, but all in .308.
Anybody else seen or heard of any?

Same old same old..... between few and none are shipping. However if you like it, buy one of Smith's new bolt rifles. Same thing, just more features and choices like stocks and finishes, but it is just as trashy as the Icon. However at this year's Shot Show, last week, I found out they are coming down in price soon as Smith has refined their production practices, so hold off on buying the Smith for a couple of months, prices should fall a hundred dollars or more.
