At one time I believe this company had quailty issues, which I hope you will prove no longer exist.... Time will tell....

I had considered this type of weapon before and decided I didn't like the spent gasses sytem, so I did you what you did and went AK.

I could be in the longer range semi market, not that much is longer range in NH... More or less bolt guns do this chore for me these days.

Also I have to admitt I am not much of a fan under 7.62 either.

More or less my criteria is rugged, works, light weight, and packs punch to near 7.62x63 aka 30-06 or 7.62x51 nato .308.

I could deal with a dirty action so long as it doesn't create stoppage under reasonable conditons.

I'm interested in any other ideas you might have for making the weapon more combat ready.

I was going to reccomend the Donkey DXXX but you already have one on it, other than that I would not add much more other than a big stack of magazines.
What kind of red dot sight did you put on it ?

All I would do to make it more combat ready is:

#1 Either put on a fixed stock, or if you must have a collapsing stock use one of the Magpull collapsing stocks.

#2 Remove the light, red dot and laser thing and return it to its original carry handle configuration with iron sights.

Oly builds a good rifle that will meet the needs of 90% of the shooting public.

Here are some ways manufactures cut costs and some things you might want to look at and if necessary make improvements.

- They may or may not use cast upper and lower receivers.

- Cheap extruded or cast charging handle.

- Cast hammer and front sight base instead of forged.

- Don’t proof test or magnetic particle test barrels and bolts

- Non staked or improperly staked castle nut and gas carrier key

- No heat shield on hand guard, just plastic.

- No chrome lining.

- A2 instead of M4 feed ramps.

None of these really matter to the recreational shooter and save the customer plenty of extra money. I’ve gone through quite a few ARs and AKs and personally only use LMT or Colt LE rifles now. Sure I pay twice as much for a rifle that looks the same, but it’s my life on the line. Currently I have a LMT semi auto M4 with a 16 inch barrel and fixed stock. My next will be the same rifle with a 10.5 inch barrel fixed stock and an Eotech Holosight.

The only accessories I like to have around is a spare parts kit, and plenty of extra mags. My next purchase will probably be a good silencer; probably the Advanced Armament Corporation SPR or M4-2000.

Good luck with your rifle.
