have a chance to buy one of theese in 50 cal from a friend of mine its the percussion type have heard of them but never owned one it has a nice scope on it and is in great shape he wants a 100 bucks for it, is this a good deal?

I think its a heck of a deal if its in good shape. I have a TC Hawken and I paid almost 400 for it. They are well built and shoot great. Put a light down the bore and check it out before you buy look for rust and damage.

thanks danan the rifle is almost new looking guess most folks want the inlines now days gonna get it later today and a mosbery 12 gauge pump that is camo stock and all it has a scope on it also said hed take a 100 for it too think it may be set up for slugs and around here you can use a rifle ill have to see what model number it is dont think i can go wrong

Got mine in 1976. Spit out a lotta lead with the old smoke pole sence then. Cracked the stock once so don't get crazy with your mini ball charges. Love that hook breach, put her down in a can of hot soapy water and with a patched ramrod she'll be clean in a jiffy. 100 sounds like a real bargin.

I'll give your money back now plus 50 bucks taboot. Wonder why I can't run across adeal like that ?Back in the eighty's they sold for over 2 bill's that was with tax. You want regret purchasing it. I also have the TC Hawkin.The renagade is a little shorter but its accurate and a joy to shoot.I use pyrodex in mine. Its alot easier to clean up and you can shoot more rounds before having to clean it. Now go burn some powder...... ;D
