I just wanted to say thanks to all those who gave there opinions on the Marlin Camp 9. I bought the one I was looking at, and took it to the range. It shot perfectly. The guns a little small for me, but my girlfriend loves it. It did have a little more kick than I would expect from a 9mm, but it is nothing compared to some. 100 rds, no jams, very accurate at the ranges we were shooting for fun, 50-75yrds.

Not sure if u read my posts a while ago back But I have shot many groundhogs at 115 to 125 yards with mine
I hate to admit it but it shoots better than My PC-9
I have a local guy who I'm going to take a stock to and have laminated stocks made for my camp 9 and camp 45's ( about 110 each)
I hear the stocks break easily on the 45's
But all in all a sweet package
I put wolf springs in all mine ( the recoil spring is the same on as is on a 45) odd in my opinion

I have one of the .45 caliber campers carbines. Personally I think its a P.O.S. Yes, the stocks can crack if the take down bolts are not kept tight. I learned this the hard way. Funny, the manual didn't mention that you have to tighten the bolts every fifty shots! The customer service guy from Marlin was nice enough to tell me.

Other faults with mine are, a clip that likes to pop loose and drop down in the magazine well when she starts getting dirty. The bolt stop at the rear of the receiver is made from some kind of hard nylon and has started to crumble. Last time I shot the gun (last weekend) pieces fell out when i took the gun apart to clean it. The gun is not a spring chicken but it hasn't been shot that often, so I can't say this is from extreme wear and tear.

This little gun's only real attribute is its very accurate. Its good enough for occasional target work, or maybe as a backup to a backup defense gun, but personally it isn't worth much else.
