Howdy.
My lawn tractor has bitten the dust. I bought it brand new about 8 years ago, rode it hard and put it up wet for years. It tolerated that treatment pretty well for about 5 years and then began the inevitable downhill slide. It needs a lot of restoration including a new engine or a rebuild on the twin Kawasaki that was original. The initial phone consultation with the servicing dealer wasn't promising at all. A new Kawasaki engine is $1600.00 :o and a rebuild could go as high as $900!
Does anyone know of a business that specializes in used or aftermarket JD parts and engines besides JD? The only way this machine will ever work again is if I can find discounted parts and do the work myself. I refuse to spend what the JD dealer expects for parts and labor.OzarksJohn
