A friend took me to his barn & showed me his collection of "show" tractors, & the neatest one ia a 1919 Fordson F series. this thing runs on kerosene !!! it does require about an ounce of Gas, & a heavy duty hand crank to get it started, but runs on kerosene & water mixture...
Basicly, you'd put the gas in, crank the huge iron handle turn the kerosene on, then when it starts knocking, you'd turn the water on to cut the kerosene a bit untill it quits knocking..
Another interesting fact about this tractor is the oil. it has no oil Pan, rather the oil simply drips onto the parts every few mins.
Here is a photo of a 1919 fordson F series, but this one isn't his, as his is white & Grey (Stock)

Anyway I just thought it was interesting, & figured you may too !!!
He also has a 1930 farmall thats in mint condition. He has won many farm show awards with them, & I see why :)
