Talk about inept, I had two paragraphs typed, and somehow managed to delete the whole thing, and ended up posting only a smily face. Let me try again, and maybe I'll have a litte more "ept" this time:
I have 2 tractors sitting in my workshop now - Henry is a 1950 Ford 8N, still running but he could use about 24 months in rehab to get him back in top condition, and Charlie, my new, 2007 Struck Magnatrac 7000 mini-crawler. I decided to go with steel tracks when it was time for a new tractor, due to all of the sharp rocks, cactus, mesquite, and other tire eating stuff out on my land. So far, I haven't really had time to put Charlie to the test, still waiting for retirement (soon I hope) to give me more time. Plus, we've had so much rain this spring, in my part of Texas, that we've nearly made up the deficit from ten years of drought. I'd sure be interested in hearing from anyone who has the same kind of iron I do. It is always good to share experiences with someone who has been there and done that. Thanks. Odie

Well, i had a "Henry" with a nice (for the time) loader on it... I really didn't have a good use for that tractor, so i fixed it up and sold it... Actually, i bought it cheap, and had intended to resell it "sometime"...

I've looked at magnatracks, but i've never run one.... I'd think a small skidsteer with tracks would be another choise for your kind of property... I did have a skid with tracks for a time...

Although a bit specialized, skids are build tough, and have a decent resale when your done with them.
