I have tool boxes on my tractors... Most farm tractors come with them from the factory.

If your's didn't come with one and you want one, you can buy one and find a place to mount it. You may have to make a bracket to put it on though? Keep in mind those tools add up and get heavy, also the bounceing around means you need a strong bracket holding the tool box.

We have a store chain here called Tractor Supply, that carries tool boxes for tractors. Tractor tool boxes are slimmer to fit tight mounting places, and also to keep the weight close to the tractor.

BTW, wrapping the tools up so the air can't get to them = rust!

Might take a look at old ammo boxes from military surplus-very sturdy, great fitting lids-variety of sizes. I have a large one on the back of the log skidder and it is dandy for storage and it keeps things DRY.

I use an old steel first aid box (the kind seen in older school busses) screwed to a rear fender - in addition to the original one under the hood.
