My copy of "Dreams of My Father" written by Barack Obama just arrived and I am about 1/3 of a way through. It is interesting and gives a lot of insight into who he is. His mother was just a bit socialistic....lol.

Barack Hussein Obama is currently the junior Senator from Illinois to the United States Senate, the half of two houses according to the Constitution of the United States Of America.

He is currently the presumed Democratic candidate for the President of the United States of America. I would not presume to determine his various opinions and planks that he is running under.

I hope I have cleared up this mystery for you since you did not know nor apparently need to know.I have noted from past posts that at least several other people from your forum know who he is so I thoughtlessly decided my post needed now further clarification. I admit my error and himbly hope I do not make this sort of error again. I feel confident that you will take note of this type of error again.

Thank you for pointing out my rather blatant omission. I will give deep consideration to running my posts by you to edit for clarifications and other errors.
BTW, I have finished the book and it was interesting but I will not mention anything for concerning it.

someone on the sight made the comment that they were looking to vote for him till the last min. WHY? When we vote FOR a person based on skin color, is that not also raceist? What more would we need to know of him? He's anti Gun..he is a scoshalist, and that means all of you with a homestead are now wealthy, becouse land is wealth and even 2 acres should be forcibly shared with those who are to lazy. The people let him in becouse he has made them feel all warm inside. Someone said to me, well atleast the minorities have someone to look up to now...who ever said that a roll modle needed to be of your race?

why can't a roll modle be a diffrant gender or color? and why must a roll modle be a figure of fame? I tohught roll modles were parents, or older brothers and sisters... people in your own neck of the woods. The prez is as unfermilure to me as a sports hero on TV. I'll never know more of him than the news.

He got office for all the wrong reasons and that's all I need to know.

Speaking of racism by the way, the word racism is neither a sin, according to Scripture, nor was it in any English encyclopaedia or dictionary until comparatively recently, say the mid- 1800`s, if I`m not mistaken. It`s not an English word, nor has it any meaning beyond what the ADL, ACLU, big media or anyone with too much time on their hands (and probably sitting on them) says it means. It`s a buzz-word meant to shut you up, and to keep the others who think like you from rising up in righteous wrath. Sort of like "hater" or "anti-semite." Is it possible that anyone who is in touch with current events doesn`t believe Obama is not a racially cognizant individual? Didn`t he call himself a mutt? That means he believes he is the product of the union of 2 RACES. By the by, I heard on National Public Radio after the guy won the prez`s seat, a black woman say "... we finally got somebody to represent the rest of us;" as if any of the Presidents from Abe Lincoln to the present have represented anyone but the " Immaculate They", who got them into the White House. You all who believe in change and think ObaMcCain is any real choice are gonna see what their definition of change is. I guess it all depends on what your definition of "change" is, to paraphrase our ol` bud, Slick Willy, "Where are my pants", Clinton.

I don't think that McCain and Obama are quite as alike as we would like to think they are... I think that was just a play by the left to make us lean the other way. sorry, he's an antigun, communist pig..and rep the rest of us? who is she speaking of? Some other moron said on the news that when Kennedy was shot, people were still alive who could remember slaverly...uh the CW ended in 1865! that means 110 years old.. yea...sure one person may have been alive.

I think it's time for the youth of the US to get out of the 60's and into the 2k's.

My point is, the black woman said exactly what every black person who is standing for their race says. They actually think that because they are towards the bottom of the economic spectrum, that it is because of , so- called racism. Nothing could be more wrong. In the more than 120 years since the so-called reconstruction in the South, black folk have not been able to raise themselves above a collective state of non-achievment without the government imposed handouts like Head Start, which was the most impressive success story in that trial, by the way. The negro would not have been able to get to the level of achievement he enjoys now without massive amounts of handouts from our government- handouts which THEY do not have any right to give.
Fact is, Barry Obama could not have gotten to the governmental and economic level that he is today without that government decree of so- called Civil Rights and Affirmative Action, which holds down white folk at the expense of so- called minorities.
