For those of you who like stories about how people adapt to a civilization collapsing event, I recommend a book entitled "Dies the Fire". Imagine how the world would change if all of all electrical equipment, firearms and combustion engines ceased to work. This is the general premise of the book and how several groups of people react and adapt to the change.
