Yes I bought another strange book. *Time it deals with self relience/survival issues and it has pictures. *I found in the reference section. *ISBN 0 -399 -52725 - 7 *If have a chance check it out.

I love The Art of Shen Ku! *The only book I know that has tips on firemaking, trapping, shelters, making Bug-Out-Bags, sailing and boating tips, Morse Code, Semaphore, and nautical flag signalling, workout exercises, martial arts katas, self-defense techniques, kid's games, and Yoga stretches all in one place!

Granted, it does have some superstitious stuff such as accupuncture points, Yin-Yang dieting, and runestone-reading, but one could just chalk those sections up as cultural anthropology and go just to the parts that are really useful. *It's big and encyclopedic and organized enough that there's something to interest most anyone.

Acupuncture is medical, not 'superstition', but you do have to know what you are doing with it. as for Yin-yang dieting and runecraft, right you are. Sounds good!

Acupuncture may have some effect on pain, however, it has nothing to do with balancing of "Yin" and "Yang" in the body. It certainly doesn't cure all the ails alleged by many of its proponents.
