When is school out for everyone? Or do you homeschool all summer?
My youngest starts college this fall. She has been done with her studies for a few months, but had to wait until fall to start college.

When I home schooled the twins, we went year round. Simply 2-3 hours a day of academic studies.
However, we taught them gardening, animal care, cooking, baking, wool spinning, weaving, knitting. They learned life skills like mending, sewing, etc.
The schooling really never stops.

I understand. I hate it when the PS kids get out. They are everywhere, acting up, being loud, riding 4wheelers all over. We have to chase them off the property quite often. I wouldn't mind them if they didn't upset the animals or make ruts all over, but they do. The worst thing they do is tease the dogs. I wish public schools were in session all year.
While homeschooling, we only did lessons during the typical "school year". In the summer, we did crafts, animal husbandry projects, arts, music, etc. We took the summer time for things that happened in the summer like travel, photography, plants, etc. But of course, we read books all year.
