Folks,
I want to start reading to my 7 and 8 y.o. girls about the history of this country and its constitution that we "used" to follow. Does anyone have some advice on where to start? Any great books for these purposes out there?

I try to teach History using the Charlotte Mason Method. We use lots of living books. The American Girl Seris is wonderful. If you are looking for more of a textbook then I would suggest Making of America:History of United States and Patriot’s History of the United States. Here are some links to help as well.

+1 on the American Girl series.
My 8 year old daughter loves them.
