I need books for my 5th grade daughter and would like to start a pre school type program for my 4yr old son. (I also have twins that are 1yr that I am planning on homeschooling when they are old enough!) Does anyone have any ideas? I'm a disabled limited income single mom.

I have already signed up with the state and once I get the books and curriculum I can start. I'm having trouble getting the public schools the keep contact with me before my daughter falls behind.

Thanks for all your help!

I just retired as a fifth grade teacher. Are you primarily interested in ideas for language arts and reading? Math? Is your fifth grader a strong reader? If you haven't read "A Little Princess" to your daughter yet, I guarantee you will not be disappointed (Burnett). I have ideas about ideas for math, social studies, poetry, science, etc. Perhaps I can share more if you tell me what you're most interested in. Good luck!

We read "A Little Princess" as part of my daughter's (homeschool) 5th grade curriculum. We use the Calvert School curriculum.
