Testicular cancer awareness.
It was 22 years ago this month. August 3rd, 23 days before my 21st birthday when I found out that I had testicular cancer.
I urge any guy who notices something not quite right to get checked out ASAP.

Congrats on being cancer free for so long!!! :D
I just had a friend who passed away from testicular cancer about 2 months ago. He was originally diagnosed when we were still in high school. It came back about a year ago, and he had just buried his Dad from the same thing a month before he died :'( .

Sorry for your loss Stephy. I find that to be the hardest part of growing old. Seeing your old friends leaving, one by one. It is not easy.

Glad to hear that you've been clear so long!
Thanks for urging us to check ourselves!
I am so happy for you, alchemy.
It was 40 years between my first cancer of the breast, and then 5 years ago, i had another, and then a year ago i had ovarian cancer.
Had checkup this year and no sign of any trouble.
I, too, urge people to keep on top of this thing by having regular checkups to catch it as early as possible, and don't fool around.
I'm 86 now for those who don't already know it, and have had hip replacement and aortic valvue replaced, etc. too, among other things, and am really blessed that it hasn't got to ME, Am one busy lady with lots of enthusium for all kinds of things in life.
I urge people to keep on top of this thing and then keep right on trucking.
I feel so sad that this is not always possible for peope to lick this thing. It is so variable.
Thanks alchemy for reminding us all again and again. It cannot be said too often. love, alma

On July 23, 1986 at 2:30 my heart stopped from a cardiac arrhythmia. I was 22, carrying my third child. Isn't it strange how those dates stick in your mind? It changes so many perceptions for the rest of your life.
I'm very glad you are ok, and able to talk about this so many years later. Stay healthy and live many more years. I hope you are thoroughly enjoying your life. You have the advantage of really knowing how temporal it is. Few people really have that realization so early in life.
