We are SO backwards in this country! Food manufacturers are allowed to use additives that we already know are toxic! (Slightly toxic - is OK?)
I just read the ingredients of marshmallows. They're just sugar, gelatin and sodium pyrophosphate. I didn't know what that last ingredient was, so I googled it. It's found in marshmallows, tuna, toothpaste, chicken nuggets - all sorts of food you wouldn't expect it.
The bad thing, in addition to being twice as toxic as salt - it crystalizes in your kidneys and big joints. As a food additive, it makes things look better. As a "food" it causes damage to the body. Is this a good trade off?
