My hands get really dry, red and scaly from washing my hands with the disinfectant at the hospital. I rub Bag balm from the feed store on them at night. My mom grew up on a farm and she said that her mom used it on her hands.

MSM is a powder that you take orally. You can find it in capsules at the drug store, but I get it cheaper in buckets at the feed store (for horses) The recommended dose is about a tsp a day, but I find it works better if you take about a Tablespoon a day for 10 days and then go to the tsp a day. It's really bitter so I mix it with something like applesauce or put it in fruit juice, you could put it in your own capsules if you want to.
