Dangit all to heck and back, it's aggravated again! Ahh!

I got it last November after my sister's wedding. Pain was so bad I doubled over and cussed...alot. It healed up in two weeks with ibprofuen and cold packs.
I was on the trampoline and did a dumb move and it ached. I reached too far over and heard a crunch, so this little dandy is back.
Anyone else have this? How do you stop from getting it again or treat it? It's not hurting too bad and God willing it'll stay that way.

Kat,
I feel your pain. Although I don't usually get the pain that completely wraps around my chest but I do get this from time to time. I was in a car wreck about 9 years ago and was struck in between T3-T6 with a steel pipe that held the Tenau cover on my Samari at the time. Needless to say my back bothers me just about daily. Since the accident all I have to do at times is breath and my back will flare up. My pain isn't in the front but in my back between my shoulder blades. Every time I move my arms it is as if someone hits me with a cattle prod right on my rib cage, and it usually radiates to my thoracic spine. OUCH!
I've found the best thing to get this to behave is to have the chiropractor adjust it for me and help to put things back. If you can't get to a chiropractor the next best thing that works for me is laying on a tennis ball right next to my spine where the rib has jumped, while doing this try to stretch the crap out of it. It usually hurts like the dickens but it does usually help. Don't get too discouraged if after the first time you don't get any relief from this exercise because it will take time for this to correct it self. I went to the chiropractor for this exact thing last Monday and it's still giving me fits today.
Good luck, hope this helps.
