Signing off

As a new member I am happy with this site. However, perhaps I am just too dense but I cannot find any point, block, icon, or way to actually sign off once I have signed onto the Forum. Is there a way and is it necessary?

Theres a Logout button near the top of the page just under the "Hello" and to the right of the date.
