Yeah, Sweetie did it for herself when she was undergoing cancer #2.
Actually what the doctors want is your "stem cell" which is taken from marrow. Sweeties was a surgery procedure and taken from the thye then cleaned from any impurities (cancer). She was most certaintly "out" for this procedure. After she was given about every poision known to man which was designed to kill literly everything in her body and was at deaths doorstep she was given her own stem cell in order to regenerate her life. This was a 30 day process then she was sent home for 30 days to rest and then we went through the whole thing again.
The two broad types of mammalian stem cells are: embryonic stem cells taken from the cord, and adult stem cells that are found in adult tissues as in the bone. In adult organisms the cells are used as a repair system for the body, replenishing specialized cells, but also maintain the normal turnover of regenerative organs, such as blood, skin or intestinal tissues.

I feel kind of bad, but I had to decline. They said they would fly me to Washington DC (if the blood work matched) then *it could take as long as 1 and half weeks and I would not be compensated for my lost wages.
And this is what sucks the big one. All the money that is wasted on some much crap could be used to help pay a donor's lost wages. I don't think many are in it to ''make" money. ::)
