View Full Version : High cholesterol

Just been told my cholesterol is 205 total. One good thing is that the good cholesterol is high so I'm not in as bad shape as I could be. LOL
Need any and all suggestions for bringing down the bad cholesterol though. I've got a pretty good diet now so I guess I just need to "tweak" it as the dietitian told me yesterday. I eat very little red meat, mainly chicken and tuna, occasionally I add turkey or Canadian bacon but that's about it.
Am interested in suggestions for sandwiches and salads as it's about to get too hot to cook except in the early morning or middle of the night! Kitchen is facing west and nothing I can do to cool it that I'm not already doing. I do have, and do use, both a small toaster oven and a microwave oven. Will dig out the crock pot and see what I can make in it.
