Took my daughter to the dr's office for an infected sore.
Daughter had to have a culture done. The doctor said we have MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) going around our community and in the schools.
Culture came back positive. :o :( >:(
Thankfully the antibiotics the dr prescribed cleared the infection.
The thing is you don't know for sure if it is all gone as it can survive anywhere in the body. Then you can be a carrier and pass it along.
I knew about MRSA in the hospitals and nursing homes but did not realize how rampant it had become in our communities. So be on the look out for any sores you get that get infected as this can be fatal.
