I've talked about all my troubles so much that i just had to tell you about my relatively good news for a change.
I went to the heart doc for my yearly checkup and had a few tests, including echogram, etc. and he was delighted that the aortic valve that was replaced about ten years ago, and was going bad, has stabelized, and the leakage in the other valve has not changed either.
Both could last as they are for years because my heart beat is so strong and the valve is doing the job, and i could live with it, seriously, until 100 years of age.
Now, that doesn't mean i wont get some blockage somewhere else, or have a heart attack from a clot or something, just that the aortic valve and leakage are stabelized and look real good.
I still have to watch what i eat, take my meds, etc. usual.
Since i had that valve replaced with some cow part, i've had a gall bladder operation, a hip replacement, and it popperd, and had to be done again, and a lumpectomy and then a modified mastectomy, so it sure has taken a beaten and stood up to it in good style.
It's amazing what docs can do these days, and i am grateful to them, and for the god that guides their hands. love, alma
