Two Tough Questions

Question 1:

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who
were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis,
would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before looking at the response for this one.

Question 2:

It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts.
Here are the facts about the three candidates. Who would you vote for?

Candidate A.
Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologist.
He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B.
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in
college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C.
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke,
drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be our choice?

Decide first... no peeking, and then scroll down for the response.

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

Oh ,and by the way, on your answer to the abortion question:

If you said YES, you just killed Beethoven.

Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.

Wait till you see the end of this note! Keep reading.. (there's a third question)

Never be afraid to try something new.

Remember:

Amateurs...built the ark.
Professionals...built the Titanic

And Finally, can you imagine working for a company that has a
little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2
businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year...

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress.

The same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year
designed to keep the rest of us in line.

:D Now that, was an enjoyable, and worthwhile read, Ryecat.
I've seen most of that before, but never arranged so well, and all together.

I've got to say I'm shocked at the record of our congressmen - I thought they always bought their way out of these things & purged the records! OH MAN! Think how many transgressions those guys REALLY did! :o

Don't it just make you proud Carol Ann ? I make a motion that the 3rd army be dispatched to wash dc, handcuff and shackle the whole bunch of slobs, give 'em to us for a nice tar n' feather'n and then off to the fed penn, which is where they all belong, for the hijacking and destruction of this nation. (and I am being very kind)

I wouldn't doubt that it's true, but it would take a lot of research to prove.

Here's what Snopes says about it:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/congress.asp

And an article that has some proven information on criminals in congress:
http://web.archive.org/web/20000303080616/www.capitolhillblue.com/Aug1999/082099/criminalclass5-082099.htm

Like I said, it wouldn't surprise me if it was true, and I'm not sticking up for them, but it needs further research.
Or, you can go by my logic: that nearly all of them are criminals anyway, because of the unconstitutional laws that they have passed.

awww.... don't poop on my parade by getting all techinical ;) (although I'm sure you are correct... i haven't looked into it myself) ... this is the humor section not the whole truth and nothing but the truth section... even thought the truth is often humorous.. *The point of the whole thing is that we shouldn't judge a person by the office they hold, by the outward picture but to look at their lives and deeds. *And get a laugh in the meantime.

Oh, I hear you on that. I just like for people to learn the real facts for themselves, so they don't go around repeating rumors that might happen to be false (and end up making themselves look silly). But, like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.
As long as people know the facts and are doing it in fun, there's nothing wrong with that. The rest of the post is great, thumbs up on that. ;D
