when is veal veal???????????

can anyone tell me when exactly and calf is still considered veal? i seem to be getting different answers and i thought some one on this site would know for sure. also does it vary depending on breed? thanks lyne

I was always told that to be considered veal a calf had never eaten any grain or grass. Only milk.
