New chicks

Im so excited, I went to murdochs for some feed and glanced through their chicks again, (even after DH said dont even think about it before i left home..lol) and i saw they had bantam golden brahmas. OMG ive wanted those since i was a kid! So I got two little babies, they are the cutest little walking pingpong balls of fluff ive ever seen!
Ofcourse when i got those the salesman there said "only two?" so he stuffed my cart with two turkeys, three speckled sussex and 5 silver dorkings..lol I have no clue what to do with those dorkings, i dont much care for them so ill probably resell them when they are feathered out.
I confessed to hubby about the banties, but hes clueless on the others, sometimes its a good thing to marry a city kid who doesnt pay any attention to the critters..lol

Congratulations on your new babies.

I got some white silkies yesterday and a pair of geese. And my local hatchery lady keeps giving me chicks, but she has mostly australorpes. I keep giving her duck eggs, and she is hatching some auracanas and turkeys for me. But everytime I take her a few dozen duck eggs, she wants to send hope a dozen new chicks that hatched that week. I gave her 8 duck hens yesterday and a couple of silkie roosters to mix into her flocks. Spring is such a wonderful time because everyone gets overrun with poultry and babies of all kinds.

Last year was famine for birds, this year is feast, i am getting over run by them. I could easily have a few hundred birds right now if I allowed the murcochs guy to have his way..lol.
I have a whole bunch of white silkies too, In the mix ive got ive managed to make out the silkies, golden sebrights, a variety of bantam cochins, one or two auracana banties and still a few unidentifiables..lol
its just like christmas!
