Just a sentence or two - what comes to mind when you look at this picture?

Peace,

My(his) first taste of sand, and not liking it too much.

It was a poster with the headline "Success" - which I thought odd.

I first heard my mother's voice, which said, "That child needs to be spanked immediately."

But I see those angry eyes & the clenched fist and I thought, "I wonder if my boss looked like that as a child." or "I wonder if he'll grow up to be a wife beater."

And then I wondered . . .
Whose face taught him that expression? And why has he seen it often enough to mirror it?

Poor little guy.

Mother earth (the sand) is life. I grip it fiercely, hold it, and ride.

I just don't see anything angry or mean.
I see a kid that just ate a handful of sand it it wasn't that good.
I would like to see the next picture.
I'll bet it was funny.

I see a young Michael Moore... His perpetual facial expression...

Hmmmm... as a Mom, I have to say that the kid hasn't eaten any sand yet - no evidence on his shirt, chin, lips, etc.

To me it looks more like "NO, it is NOT time to go home for my nap yet!"

This little one looks to be grimacing & could well be constipated, gaseous, or errr, making good use of their diaper.

I think the kid looks angry.
Is this for a psychology survey for college or something?

momma to seven -
Nah - not for college. It just reminded me of kids I've seen (and heard) mimicking the bad stuff they get from adults. My great nephew, at the age of four - once said to me, "You are a VERY bad little boy!" It was hard not to laugh - but at the same time, I was sorry he had heard that often enough to say it with such venom in his little voice. His daycare was by a cranky older lady and he was picking up her mannerisms.

I just wondered if others have experienced that with kids. My mom's generation was more for "smack that look off of his face," while I'm more inclined to try to find out where he learned the look (or the words.)

Probably has had enough government schooling and enough interaction with playmates to know that a sour face gets laughs from the parents. He`s fully aware he`s getting a photo op.
