Beings an older person---I have been a student of human nature now for a few years.
There are a few personalities that drive me up the wall.
!. Its the [[ i am always the victum personalities.
They do things--say things--that deliberately bring on stress fire conversations and then cry foul and raise the roof about being victumized.
What personallity can you ad to this list?
There's the I am always sick--the I am always the best. there's the I am first etc etc.
help in my study .
Please--annie

Deb
Yes the hypocrite is a study in dual personalities.
And I believe one of the most confusing people I can think of.
I saw what your talking about when I first came on this forum a few years back.
If I dont like butterscotch---why pretend its a favorite staple in my house.
If your truely headed to your homestead---ok--But I found alot of talkers--that had no intentions of going there BUT didnt want to admit they were just putting up links and talking the talk.
Therefore--its a false snese that is posted and since we post off each others post--its all a false---world.
Of course this is cyber space--people can pretend all they want i suppose--But it is still hypocritical Right?

The mob?
I have found myself on the mob end--as my opinion ruffled some feathers--alot of feathers--But as it turned out later---the mob started thinking in the same vain---But I was already wounded and had to fight to become a respected member--Remember it well.
But , I believe in my opinion--my beliefs and I couldnt be a hypocrite in that area--to save myself from a MOB flaming i could have--it would have been easy to suck up and be ---ONE of the crowd.
One thing I noticed tho---When i stood my ground others had the courage to follow suit.
Sure--standing for ones beliefs brings the mobs out--But dont the mobs have the same right not to agree?
Why does one voice have all the right to speak>
I may have the right to speak--dont mean I have the right to be heard.

No---thats not where my thought were headed.
What may seem like a Mob--may be the wrong term to use--are a like minded bunch of people.
Going againest perhaps a way out there poster--and the group sees that poster as a threat to the core beliefs as a group.
I too witnessed the posting your talking about.
The particular poster Would post deragstory remarks then quickly delete them.
I deleted 2 post in my over 10,000 post --once I used a person name--they didnt want it used on the forum--i removed that post---and another time-in anger I posted something--and Loba ask me to change my mind--Out of respect for her---and my self i did.
But--I dont know if that removing of post was hypocritical---more of cowrdice i suspect.
I too deal with the----you smoke your not a good Christian from a woman [[ pastors wife ]] that is over 200 lbs over weigh---Hypocritical to be sure.
I see that all the time---i am sure I have been quilty of the same thing at times--I have never claimed to be perfect.
And if you can claim to be perfect---well---I am not---
I do believe that you have a great deal of courage concerning your convictions.
I dont really look that closely at times--generally only when it directly concerns me.
The hypocritical condesending person I think we refer to--was always condridicting herself----hypocritical to the inth degree.
you have made some very good points--I am enjoying the conversation with my old friend.

Things get REAL interesting when substance abuse mixes with a few other traits. I've been around some serious narcissists. Strongly reinforces my quest for TOTAL independence and self-sufficiency! LOL
In other words, I'm very carefully who I mingle with personally and 'professionally'.

AA--I agree.
I have developed a core of friends--I know they will tell me the truth.
They are not hypocritical in their advice--they will say they did so-and so--
I have seen it publicately here--
Deb--Mob rule in any society is wrong--right?
Their are certain people that are stone cold liers---and stir up controverisy where ever they go.
I had a flock of chickens once--they were red--there happened to be one that had some black on its feathers---the other chickens almost pecked it to death-Ii had to segragate it from the others
If people and animal cruelty go againest the [[mobs]] for lack of a better word---core beliefs--then it will rise up againest what is threatening its beliefs.
I dont think its cruel--its self survival.

I worked with a kid who was a constant brag of himself he could do everything better and faster than anyone else. I must give credit where credit is due he was smart and fast at alot of things but one day he wanted to show me how fast he could tape down a piece of wood to a tablesaw that I was doing he stepped up and kind of nudged me to the side the saw was running but he was in to big of hurry he threw some tape on the piece of wood and quickly put it in place on the tablesaw and ran his hand along it to push it down but he was so quick he cut his thumb off :o :o yes I watched the whole thing so Its funny how people like him get what I call carma sometime come around and bite them in the azz or in his case thumb

interesting....
Peace,
A very well written book about a decade or so ago called"the celestine prophecy" by i believe james redfield covered the subject of diffrent personalities asuumed by base humans. Simplified greatly by myself here it is addressing the way we humans of unenlightened energy aquire said energy and stay stagnate or perpetuate the vicous cycle of bigotry and racism to whatever degree by learned behavior instead of the "examined " life.
The Intimidator--------- gains their "energy" through intimidation. (because i said so...)
The Interigator -------- gains their energy through relentless examination of others. (why, why, why)
The Aloof--------- gains their energy form abstencia or lethargy( i dont care not my problem)
The Poor me------- (hands down the favorite) Waaah life is unfair nobody loves me.
Again I over simplfied these but i do reccomend
the book it was very eye opening and palatable.
Peace

333--Interesting?
Lupine posted a thing[[link]] on Attention Wh----'s.
And they will do and say things--knowing--KNOWING they will start a storm--or be the center of attention.
iIt was a very interesting llink.
The poor me---personality--always disturbs me.
And the ones that go from one catratophe to another---razors edge of excitement kind of folks,
I can handle any of them really---
But one.
Thanks for your input.
annie
Peace,
Which One is that???
I n the interest of "examination" the best of my recollection of the material went like this...(Books n stuff been in storage for a year now whilst i do the big dig at the homestead ;) )...
A ll life is about energy,(Causality) ....from the sun to the planet, ergo eventually , you and I ,every"living" thing.
Energy in our cases of point "behavior".
When "humans" interact they exchange, produce, transfer ....pilfer ,destroy or create..energy. Ask yourself How do you feel after say an argument or fight??(verbal).
If you are the victor, generally the answer is Empowered, vindicated...just....(content full).
If you are the vanquished , generally the reply is Distress, abdicated, violated....(discontent empty)
The four categories are definitions of how people exchange energy with and from eachother..base.
When one is still and observing one will have no trouble utilizing these four "guide" lines classifing the observed. Disturbing but very accurate I attest.
Not to ruin the book.... in they end we are better served in this life if we derive our energy from potable sources (good exercise, diet, for the mind body and spirit) YES you are what you eat ,read, and consume on all levels. Instead of taking it from eachother.
Peace

333,
The poor pitiful victum---always the vic---always--
It has to have catstrophes in its life---will set themselves up for failure so that can rush to get the attention they crave---and cant survive without.
They are in constance motion---and drain everyone around them.

Peace,
Only if you let them. Remember some parasites help their host, yet most parasites kill their host and move on. ;D ;D ;D

hmmmn, if I understand why someone is the way they are--their personality group doesn't bother me too much.
but, overall, I just don't care for the personality that has no sense of humour and can't poke fun at himself/herself :)
peace,
The possibilty of transending the common traits of "basic"human behaivior or "personalities" is one of personal choice. unfortunatley if the preceeding examples of behaivior are un enlightened and the individual relies only on these examples, then the stagnate base human behaivior prevails.
however if one chooses to research and support with fact one is able to see the floundering human race for what it is , a failure to evolve, we are animals yes but the diffrence lies in the fact that we are able to choose our behaivior and define it with reason and logic beyond "blind faith". that is to say that we are capable of greatness and can explain why. we are also capable of extreme baseness and yes we can explain why .

I dislike people that always have to "win" a conversation and will attempt to disprove anything anyone says.

People who can't think for themselves. I call it the lemming syndrome. I really don't care what your thoughts are but make it your thoughts not the other 3 million lemmings just before they go over the cliff.
Flatwater
Peace,
Agreed on the "lemming" syndrome, but how do we expect folks to free think and critically think when they recieve nothing of substance really in their daily programming? Admittedly it is extremely diffcult to deduce any real truth when all one rceives is sound bite and spin doctor "news".
