Peace,

The world is dysfunctional in its attempts at peace.

The worlds institutions are based on cultural beliefs.

These cultural beliefs have not effected peace.

The worlds beliefs are inaccurate and dysfunctional?

Wax- Wow!
One assumes that an "attempt at peace" is functional.
It is a very strange assumption considering the fact that written history shows that warfare and violence is the normal function of society.

Throughout written history there has only been around two hundred years in which major violence can not be identified and defined.
And that is only absolute tyranny and control of the Roman Empire.

Thus... peace is dysfunctional.
Beliefs concerning peace are inaccurate and dysfunctional.

In fact it could be argued that the very desire for peace is the antithesis of society and thus mankind itself.

Peace,

Warfare and violence maybe accepted as normal status quo behavior for society today and based on reflection of the past but that in no way concurs that they are normal or acceptable.

War is big money for those that stand to gain from its perpetuation. Violence is the reaction of last resort to the logical mind. Violence is the supreme absence of reason and extreme example of fear. There has not been a war that hasn't had some powerful greedy despots at the epicenter of its implementation. War is the tool of tyrants. Fear is its impetus always.

It could be argued all day long either way, but the cold hard facts are that war only makes those with special interests rich, where as peace is profitable to all.

Greed and power are the aspiration of warlords, they want with out earning, they take by force or worse for their own gain.

The world has not been allowed peace for if it was those that have consolidated their power through eons of war would be left with out their accustomed lifestyles generated by the required means of war.

Nope, the worlds beliefs are dysfunctional in so much as they know nothing different (as you say through out history)and are to complacent, that is to say they wish to be left alone in peace to effect their meager existence and happiness.
