I just want to say Thank You to my extended BWH family for all the prayers that were said for my Grandmother. She passed away peacefully yesterday Friday May 8, 2009. She will be missed very much by her family. I already miss her :'( but I am ever so grateful that she is no longer suffering illness or pain. Seeing a loved one that is very ill and unresponsive is so hard as I know some of you have experienced that. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. I am so thankful that God chose her to be my Grandmother as she left wonderful memories.
Thank you again for all those who prayed for her and our family.
God Bless,
jen

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry to hear this. I have said prayers for your grandmother, and you and your family are all in my prayers.
Many of us have been in the same situation as you and yours. Seeing someone you love suffer is a horrible thing, and while it is hard to say goodbye to them for just a while, there is some comfort in knowing that they will never suffer again, and that the next time we see them, we will never have to say goodbye again.
I'm glad you had your grandmother and knew her so well. What a blessing.

Bearhugs, Jen :)
When i left home i left behind everything. The loss and grief of that "moment" sapped my strength, my heart, my focus... Sorrow does that.
It reminds me of a great forest fire that leaves behind just charred... nothingness. But Jen what happens next? When it would appear the fire took everything, something frail and green begins to pop thru the ruins. Out of a place that seems empty... Life begins again.
You Will emerge from this place of sorrow, stronger and determined to live the life for which Gramma helped to prepare You. And you will then be not just Jen but you and all the things of your life all mixed up so that you are quite Unique and a wonderful creature...
The mystery of God is at work all around us, and we value it.. we value Life! For now there is sorrow, but
This too shall pass...

Prayers for you.
Thank you for both for your loving words to jen.
Jen, your grandma's spirit will always be with you.
Thank god for the wonderful memories you have in your memory bank.
That is often solid gold, and no one can take it from us.
--our fond memories of our loved ones, and their spirit will always be with us. love, alma

Thanks to you all for the kind words and prayers. Those were all lovely words spoken. I miss her already but I smile at the thought of knowing that she is illness and pain free. I know she made it to Heaven and now I have to work hard at making my way There someday so that we will be reunited again. For now I have to take care of my Mom the way she took care of her Mom. When my Mom refused to leave my Grandmothers bedside, I saw an unexplainable but admirable kind of love and strength that she had for her Mother and for some reason i looked at my Mom with a new set of eyes.
We have to take care of our loved ones just the way that they took care of us when were babies, or ill, or in trying times. God is listening and God is always watching.
Thank you all again for the prayers. God Bless you.

If she was the person you describe her to be , the best thing you can do is be like your grandma and it sounds like your well on your way

Jen, it's been on my mind that this thread took a wrong turn and for that, I am truly sorry. The sting of losing Gramma is still fresh and the foolery I was a part of was in poor taste. Please accept my apology for my part in it.
Bearhugs,
~Grizzy~
