My son has been having some bad gastrointestinal symptoms for several months; waiting for his insurance from a new job to kick in. His Dad and I finally got him to get a doctor's appt. and we are going to take care of it for him. Please pray that his colonoscopy on 9 February gives us some answers and that he does not have a life-threatening disease. God bless you all and thanks so much, Mary

Hello quiltlover..
When we go through these things and are hurting for our loved ones it's so hard. It's not until we are on the other side of the event that we can see how God was working.. weaving all that was beyond our understanding into something that makes sense.. even if it is merely to reinforce that He IS in control of our lives.

A dear one in my family had his appendix burst and he nearly died. We could only pray and trust that God loved this sweet child even more than we did. When it was all over, the young man emerged with a faith so strong, a daily walk so full of joy.. and an understanding of who his Father in Heaven is... His name is Mercy...

Bearhugs to you quiltlover.. Ya'll are in my prayers..

Praying Mary. Please keep us posted. Not too much longer and testing day will be here. That will answer a lot of questions, I'm sure.

PRAISE REPORT!! Thank you for your prayers, everyone! We found out that he has ulcerative colitis (not tumors or cancer, which is what he told me he was afraid of, so it made me worry about same). While this will not be easy to live with, it is not life-threatening and can be controlled with meds and regular check-ups. Thanks for the reassurance that your prayers and concern gave us! Mary

I'm so glad that it's not cancer, Mary! That's wonderful news!! Thanks for keeping us informed.

A clean-up of the diet should take care of the ulcerative colitis quite nicely. :)
