Let's all bow our heads and say a prayer for the future of our nation and our families.
We need to be spiritually ready for the times to come.

I don't often come in here, on account that I'm an Atheist. And I do feel that I don't need to make comments in a prayer request board. But this post I feel I do need to respond to.
Don't pray, take action. Sitting around praying is not going to get anything done.
Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish, and he'll eat for a life time.
Teach a man to pray for fish, and he'll die of starvation.

Thank you for your input.
However, you assume a lot. I am neither Christian nor Jew.
I do not care what other people believe. You are an atheist and your personal beliefs are your business, not mine. It is not up to me to attack you for what you think. I do not care what quotes from famous individuals in history support your views. Nothing personal or disrespectful here --- it is just how I feel about everyone. I don't care if people practice Voodoo, Buddhism, Satanism or if they sacrifice goats by the light of the full moon to the god of agriculture.
Perhaps my post was not clear. What I was getting at is that we are facing very difficult times as a nation and we need to draw upon our inner strength to get through the coming troubles. We need to be strong as a people. I simply asked those that pray to pray for our nation and our families.

Raven, you really ought to be more respectful of certain spaces on here. If you're an athiest and don't believe in praying, then you really have no business whatsoever in coming in here. Nothing you can say will serve any purpose, by you posting here.
Pushing your athiestic views in a "Prayer Requests" folder is uncalled for... and you should have more respect than that, for other people's choices in what they want to believe in.

I believe you wholeheartedly, Saoirse. We truly do need to be spiritually ready for the times to come... no matter who is in the White House or what the economy is like, eh? But now even moreso, I agree.
