I try to be positive and being 52 I hold some values that may be considered old fashion. All I ask of life is the same things my father taught me, take care of your loved ones work hard and trust in God.

I've been unemployed now on for over a year, my wife and I are finding it harder to wake in the morning with out another disappointment. My wife is in need of surgery and for all of my trying I can't get a decent job.

In the last few days my wife will start crying because after everything we've done to be prepared we may lose our home.

I won't detail all of the things I've done to try and get a job but with no success and all I want to do is to take care of my wife.

Any prayers would be appreciated.

Thanks
Edward (and his DW) Dona

Dear Edward and Donna,

I have prayed for you and will continue to do so. Prayer is indeed the most powerful tool we have and it's an honor to help shoulder one another's burdens.

I don't know what God's answer will be for you and your wife, but I'm firmly convinced He already knows. Until such a time as He reveals His plan to you I pray that you both will be permeated with an all encompassing sense of peace that defies human explanation.

Keep faith and don't give up. I know that you are discouraged and understandably so, but don't give up. Galations 6:9 says, :Be not weary in well doing for in due season we'll reap if we faint not."

Your season will come. We will be praying that God will, as His word says He will, supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. I've been off work for 5 months now due to a diabilitating sickness, Sarcoidosis. I'm also looking at a possible heart valve repair or replacement in the near future and I just found out that I lost my job. During all of this we just sold our house so in about a months time I'll be jobless and homeless. Fortunately we do have some land and we're going to build us a tiny cabin or something temporarily.

It would be easy to get down, but I believe that God is able to work in all of this mess if I'll just trust Him. His word teaches us that without faith it is impossible to please him. He has allowed me to get in a situation were I have to either trust completely in Him or give up. I choose to believe in Him!

FAITH means Forsaking All I Take Him
FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real

Trust in God, walk according to His word, and you can have faith that when the enemy comes in like a flood He will lift up a standard against Him.

I'm not trying to preach to you, just give you some hope. Know that you will be in our prayers and we are believeing that God is going to move mightly on your behalf! :)

There's a movie called "Facing the Giants" if you have access to it I would highly recommend it. We check it out from our local library. It has given us what we needed to get through our storm and re-energized our faith.
