$46 hen house

[duckidaho]

We built this hen house from a scrap tool shed with no windows, roof, or door. We had to move it from a neighboors property

Then we added the roof and cut windows. We got some windows from a building scrap yard.

total cost for wood and hinges, $46. My friend has some salvaged roofing shingles we are going to put on, and maybe as a luxury we might paint it to look cute. The chicks arrive in 10 days.

Looks like you got some good friends there with strong backs. And a fine looking hen house. It will be nice and cozy and tight to keep out the foxes and waterproof when you get it shingled. Your little chicks have a good home waiting on them. Good luck in your chicken raising and show pictures of your little ones later on, i'd like to see them.
