Suzy's husband needs prayer!!

I got a call just now from Suzy in Alabama and her husband Roy has had a heart attack. He is in the hospital awaiting tests to see if his heart is strong enough for open heart surgery. Please pray for Suzy and Roy. She is terrified. I know she would appreciate prayers! Thanks you all!!!

Thank you so much for keeping us informed of a member's deep concerns.
My prayers, the best i can do. are with her and her hubby.
In case it will help to encourage her, i had open heart surgery about 14 years ago, had aortic heart valve replaced with a cow valve.
Since then, as i recall, i had a gall bladder operation,, a hip replacement and two cancer operations.
I had cancer about 35-40 years ago and had one breast removed.
I had the other one removed a couple of years ago, with a lumpectomy first and then a modified mastecomy,and my heart weathered the storm just fine, and me and my heart are 85 years old.
I dont mind telling you that my chest is a mess, but my new dolly partens are just great on the few occasions that i wear them.
Take heart, dear friend.
My only real problems was that i was terribly depressed for a couple of weeks following the operation until they changed my meds.
My hubby and son in law both had heart attacks and had stints put in years ago, also. My prayers, again, are with you.love, alma

God still works miracles....the doctors went from telling us that there was virtually NO HOPE to letting him come home directly from the Cardiac Care Unit on Saturday....

He only has about 15% of his heart that is working and the rest was too damaged for them to do any shunts, stints, or anything like that....

They say open heart surgery will be "extremely risky" but we hope to have it in about six weeks....right now he is HOME and we're making trips back and forth to the doctors in B'ham...

They are keeping his heart rate AND his BP really low....

PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!!!!

we are still on target for the appointment with the surgeon on the 18th. All the other doctor checks and blood work have turned out o.k.

Roy seems to be getting a little stronger every day!!! But still you can't get really strong with only 15% of your heart working! He AMAZES me!
