Was wondering what a 2 or 3 month old Dexter or Herford heifer would be going for now days?

That is all going to depend on the market in your area. Where I live Herefords are scarce, you would have to travel a bit to get one. A 3-4 month old one would run you anywhere from 50$ to $600 depending on its breeding. Same with dexters, they are harder to find and prices on them, esp, young heiffers would cost you the same as getting 4 or more herefords.
check out your local newspapers and try a few auctions to get the basic ballpark price for what you are looking for. Talking to local cattle ranchers will probably be your best bet.

There aren't any Dexters that I know of in this area. A male bucket calf goes for about fifty dollars at auction, a bit more from a private individual.

The last crop of Hereford calves I sold (4 weeks ago?) brought between $1.04 and $1.11 per pound.

2-3 month old stock in my area is about as easy to find as a hen's tooth. They were a few days old or 6 months old
