Yesterday at church I put myself between a possible predator and a potential victim *:o.
Thus I have increased my vulnerability since this person knows I did it and am on to him >:(. No crime was committed so we can't really get the law involved.
Another incident involving my wife a couple weeks ago with a person who walked into the nursery off the street has alarmed me greatly.......... :-/
I have spoken to the pastor and we are taking steps.......it's not like the church is being negligent (yet) but security is becoming an issue ........
This is in a small rural town........
What really bugs me is that out of about 100 people yesterday only my dad and myself were aware of what this man was up to *::)..........No situational awareness >:(
Just pray for me and my family to stay safe since I am not sure what this person is capable of and our church as a whole as the potential for something bad to happen is there.

TS please, report the incident to the police and give them the person's name. There's a possibility that he already has a record and they need to know of the attempt.
My church has an electronic security thing going for the nursery and the only people allow to pick up a child is someone who is in their registration system. As things stand now I can't pick up my granddaughters without registering and I hope my daughter won't object if I register though I won't do so without her knowing, either in advance or at that time. Also, the person who drops off the child(ren) is given a pager and if there are any problems they are sent a page where they can leave the service and retrieve the child.
Is there any chance that the men of the church can take turns standing watch at the nursery so that this person isn't allowed to enter it?
Whatever, I'll keep you and your church in my prayers.

TS please report this person to the police. It may be that he already has a record and they need to know about it.
Also, can the men of the church take turns standing watch at the nursery so that he won't be allowed in again? If he has a child there he should be accompanied when he drops the child off or picks it up. Also, one of the nursery workers or someone else should question the children to see if he has actually done anything to anyone.

Being a card carrying member of the CYA club here's a link that might help.

If there is a possibility of someone getting hurt or someones safety one of these cheep little camera's can help. They can be used ether with a local monitor (TV) or if you want to spring for a more expensive package monitor over the Internet.

Just a thought.
