Just curious...
Here at BWH Forum:
Who is actually *available* , would be willing to meet other singles from BWH and what is the ratio of guys to girls? Maybe a series of *Meet and Greet Like-Minded Singles Potlucks* done by region... ;D ?
(And I feel so sorry for single females in Annies region, 'cause ya'll ain't gotta chance once she decides which fella she wants! ;) )

I am in Mo, female, single and available (important distinction, I know quite a few singles who are not available due to being in long-term relationships, but still technically *single*).

Let's get a head count going here... :D

Hallo
08-20-2006, 08:35 AM
Here I am in California and all of you are scattered all over ! Well we do have jets don't we ? Winter is my travel season since work gets slow.

I am 45 and have had some pretty good adventures in my life - some I wanted, some not !! :o ;D

I like the internet because I can find news and info from all over the world, plus I get to talk with you folks ! 8) >:(
I don't like to type so I usually don't mince words too much on this box here !Okay enough about me; let's talk about me !

I live in a 600 sf cottage on one acre near Gilroy Ca.
The Garlic Capital.
The landlord , his wife and kids live in the front house.
Their 2 boys (5,3) like to come back here and talk to me, they also love it when I jump on the trampoline with them !
I have a blue-heeler and was selling pups at one time but not lately. I am a gradesetter and equipment operator for a giant construction company which has branches all over the USA. We build(the engineered dirt/grading/paving) everything from driveways to subdivisions and superhighways etc.
I save at least 10% of my gross so I can move outa here
and go somewhere cheaper to buy a place.
I work 9- 10 months a year.
Also, I take care of livestock and pets/plants when folks go on vacation - gotta go feed right now but I'll finish this first.

Often - I crack everyone up ;D . Depends on the crowd of course. But humor is real important for me or the stress of work and life will get me down. Waaaahh :-[ :-[

My dream was always to marry a farmer and have 5 kids. ::) WT? :o

Well that didn't happen - cuz of the bone in my head ! Stupid bone ! >:(

Faith is important to me too. I am no bible thumper. And as you all know I am not a good christian - but I am learning and striving. After abandoning my faith for many years- rejecting it actually, I came back to it (6 years ago) after a few months in Crazyville (a dramatic relationship). Now I have determined that two people need to be fairly of similar viewpoints in terms of faith if a successful , healthy relationship is to develop.

I look pretty good at 45 yo.
Love God and guns. No two ways about it. My neck is just a little bit red but no one calls me Betty-Lou ! LOL !
Love to hike, read, write and sing out loud off-key .
I like a man that is funny, smart, friendly ,confident and loves God and guns. AND must laugh at my skewed humor - big plus!
That's hot ;D!
Click the little house under my avatar it'll take ya to my pix.
Hope to get more pix available - gotta get off this computer first !

Gotta go - Take care all ! ;D

Well, I am single - if you don't count the kids - and I'm available. Now whether or not I can be caught is another matter. ;D
I think a 'pot-luck' would be a great idea. Especially if Annie shows up.
I guess I should jump over and put a profile on that other thread.

Here ya go Annie:
Finally... someone brought it up. With an insecurity about size you have a tendancy to develop other methods... ie, sensual mesage , oral and a few others that should be left to your imagenation . I cant say I have ever had any complaints.
But I did learn from an expert. Had a few heart to hearts with a female friend that had an alternative view on relationships.
When in doubt learn from a woman

It seems to be more ladies than men over here so I figured I'd throw my hat in the door and see who shoots first.

Not trying to steal your "thunder" Opsrto.
I've been a member here a while but off on other errands for about 9 or 10 months [since March 05 I think-last person I PM'ed was carlinsdarlin bout some britches for her darlin]

Tinny rate, I'm 58 [until March] , single [divorced in 86] , and all I own [which isn't much lol] is paid for free and clear.
6'1" + a little , 'bout 195 # , brown hair, blue eyes and all my own teeth. [it matters in horses so I thought I'd throw that in]
A semi-retired professional boat captain, Eagle Scout [1963] , Navy Vet and all around weird fella.
I put some photos up back in early 05, don't know If they are still around. [Check the recent posts under my profile ? I think they're still there]

I've had a dizzing array of jobs but have been in the Merchant Marine since 1979 and a captain since 1982. Strange work but I still love doing it after all this time. I allows me to live anywhere I want and central Texas is where I want.
Currently between boats and that can sometimes last for weeks/months but when I get back on a boat I am Literally "gone to sea".
This makes it kind of hard to "search out" the lady that I know is out there somewhere.
A Claire Wolfe fan and Free Man. I still vote because I don't think "All is Lost" yet. Nearly but not yet.
Currently planning to move out of the town of 12,000 that I'm in to a smaller town of about 6,000 [south of Austin] .
Planning on finding a couple of acres and starting that earth bermed house I have had bumping around in my noggin for years. Octagonal with circular veranndah and a full floor underground. [unusual in Texas because of humidity levels]
So there ya go ladies think ya can scare one into the clearing fer me?
I'm a little spooked cause I've been "single so long but I haven't been without ANY practise if ya catch my drift.

I am new here, but I have been reading this forum for years.

Its tough being a young survivalist and finding like minded ladies. I was born and raised and live in the Missouri Ozarks and I am 25 years old. I am a survivalist at heart. I wear nothing but wranglers and boots of some sort or another. I drive my truck and like to shoot my firearms. Good christian women seem to be a thing of the past... At least I can't meet any in real life.

I have yahoo messenger and would give out my e-mail to anyone intrested in talking.

I am new to the forum...

I am 17 years old, born and raised in Texas. I moved to Chicago for college and just finished my MBA.

I am so over the city and would love to go back to my roots. I miss being able to see the stars. 8-(

I am 5'10", curvey but by no-means fat, brown hair, brown eyes, fair...

It is wonderful getting to know all of you!!!

Hey people,
Well this is my first post here so I'll introduce myself....
My name is Matt, I am 23 years old and live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I work for the government doing conservation enforcement, so love my job.
Since I was a little guy I always was fascinated by my grandfathers stories of total self reliance living through a farm, horses, maple syrup, horse logging, garden, the list goes on. I always wanted to live the simpler life, hoping someday I'll have the opportunity.
I enjoy hiking, camping (kind of obvious), running, music.
I look forward to being on this board and talking with like minded people, haven't belonged to a board for 5 years or so......
oh yeah, in case I haven't said, am single ;D

i know its been a while since this thread was posted but im new here so here goes:

Im 36 single, no kids, have my own land w/travel trailer, I believe in God, love being out in the country and everything that goes with it. I love to fish and hunt but i believe in NOT shooting animals for pleasure unless you plan on eating them or giving them to someone who needs food. I enjoy quiet times, listening to the wind blow, sittin' outside, sittin' by the window reading, I enjoy all seasons and can never wait till the next season. I also like to let my hair down now and then and dance to some music.
It is hard to find good men these days who are not lazy and do not want to work or dont work. I will not financially support any men so that they can lay around all day while Im hard at work.
Just lookin' for a good ol' boy who loves the country life and all that goes with it including homesteading(im just startin' out). Must work or be financially secure. Must be a nice guy and must NOT LACK self confidence with a "poor me" attitude.
I work in a man's world but Im still a lady who likes the usual lady stuff....but im not afraid to break a fingernail and I am far from being high maintenance.
I am not willing to relocate. I like it where Im at.

Matt here 52 in Ozark Mtns of Arkansas.
Love living in the ozark mountains.Folks here a little old fashioned at times-most nice folks though.I am master gardener state and county level.Probably do about 500+ hours of volunteer work a year. Will slow down some this year as I need to start prepping to build underground house and finish what I want to do with the land I have.Love nature. Canoe, hike and hunt, fish, camp and like to travel some(particuly out west).I do free sustainable gardening seminars around my state and others, recently did presentation at International master gardener show.Love to train and teach others how to grow their own food just using the materials off of their land. Now the other side of the coin. Work in high tech control systems for industry. Work in city so I commute. Worth it to live in mountains. Will post a picture soon. got a new version of aol and am having fits with it right now.Love scifi and fantasy.Like Psi studies.Been a teacher and sailor in the past.Have a vast array of interest areas.Want to provide and build my own power systems for farm I have. Oh course I grow my own food and herbs and tea. Yes I do canning, dehydration and freezing food for storage for winter. Like permaculture as well.Have a couple of small green houses I play with.Have done some work with kids trying to get them interested in gardening in last few years.Drop a line if any of this sounds interesting. Not sure what I am looking for in a lady-haven't figured it out for myself Yet! LOL I know I find pagan ladies very interesting. I also enjoy discussing the various beliefs out there-even if I don't agree with all of them. I am honest to the point of it being a fault. I would rather be open and honest and disagree, than to have a misunderstanding about it later. Not hard to get along with although I can be quite out spoken about things I believe in. I am fairly well educated, which makes me realize I really don't know near what I should-so I strive to learn more as I go.

Okay I think I will take the plunge here.. I am on a dating site and lucky for me I am attracting some bright pretty women .. I am not sure any of them would homestead. I am sort of an oddity as I like a women that can wear sexy heels then come out and plant a garden and live off the grid.. Right now I am in the process of selling my house and I think its moving along .. not 100% as my buyer is a not all that communicative .. I am just shy of 5'10 ex body builder so I am only like 5 lbs overweight - but I think its age.. I am at mid 40s and look a tad like Bruce Springsteen I am told.
I have a degree in History from UMASS and was a military officer -Infantry but no longer feel the need to contribute to that cause. . I am more spiritually based but not like a dead head groupie.. I am intense strong affectionate and diverse.
Very spiritual and have come to understand the nature of GOD is 100% pure love .. so there is no Hell nor does GOD dam us or torture us but we are all on a quest to be higher level beings no matter how long it takes us or from where we start. I am an animal lover and don't wish to kill to eat .. I don't care if you eat meat.. as long as you kill it yourself.. and deal with it.. I am not a wussy boy - if I needed to put a bullet in an attacker between the eyes its a no brainier and I would simply understood I recycled his soul. I can drop a guy twice my size with a sharp right shot but its not my way.. I like long hair on a women and passion affection and a bit of a devilish nature .. I am a Scorpio if that matters.
I am handy well you sure better be if you want this life style right.... I have pics and the like .. If you want write me at alfriedar@earthlink.net It will go into spam/virus protect until I let it in - pics are requested .. All the best.. Alvaro

I am "really" single, female 40's, tall, black hair, blue eyes, live alone. There is a great little "tribe" on Tribe.net called survivalist love. It is for serious homesteader/survivalist
types to meet and greet, in fact the moderator met her current beau on the tribe.

I'm 44 (almost 45), truly single, 5'3", currently a bit overweight at 125 pounds, blonde hair, blue-green eyes, and have two sons (ages 8 and 16).

People tell me that I'm "adorable," which I don't really appreciate due to the fact that it seems to be the main reason why men are always trying to take care of me. I'm a bit too independent-minded to want to be "taken care of" - but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a kind-hearted man.

I find military men, in general, to be very sexy.

Currently living in the city (Phoenix, Arizona), but looking to get back to the harmony and tranquility of the countryside. Born in Oklahoma, raised in North Dakota and Minnesota, most of my adult years were spent in Atlanta, Georgia. After so many years of frenetic city life, I feel ready to settle into a small, comfortable home (preferably near water) where I can grow my Victory garden, commune with nature, and socialize with honest, down-to-earth people.

Having recently come out of a bad 15-year marriage, I'm certainly not "on the hunt" for a new mate, but I am still hopeful that someday I'll meet the "one and only" who has always been in my heart and in my dreams.

I am 40, 6'3" and 275 lbs. I live in Colorado and love the mountains. I am single, no children unless you count my 4 legged daughter. I fish, shoot, and read for fun. I spent 15 years driving a wrecker then became an EMD (911 operator). I recently found this web sight and like it so much I made it my home page. I would like to find someone who is like minded.

I am single...but...not relocatable. I have talked to and even met some really great guys on here. Unfortunatley they all live in the midwest and east. My family is here in the west as well as my sons. So the one thing I have discovered about myself is that I am not relocatable...and for the time being am happy working at home by myself.

I'll jump in here. I'm 62, live in northern Arizona. I have some chickens, looking for some goats, have a little garden. Have 3 horses and love to pack into the wilderness in comfort. I can do about anything. Have had several businesses. I'm a very gentle person as long as I'm not backed into a corner. I care very much for my friends and loved ones. I look at a relationship as a partnership and friendship. Control is not part of that relationship. Sometimes I need my space and I know you do also. I care how I eat, how I treat others and how I care for the earth. I'm spiritual and try to walk my path. I'd love to get off the grid and I'm working toward that. I live a simple life but it's very rich. I don't smoke, and I'm 5:7 7/8 in the morning.*:D

Gentlehorse,Sounds nice to be able to pack into the wilderness. My Dad thinks I live in the wilderness now! The first time I picked up a chicken my daughter yelled (and scared me half to death) Mom, You touched a chicken ::) We are learning as we go. Sometimes it's nice with all of us together, and sometimes I need a quiet place to go to. We're thinking of building me a cabin. It would be off-grid but with-in walking distance to the family. This would be done gradually because I can't do it cold turkey :D We have three gardens and I made plum jelly this week. We will be learning to can veggies as we go and freezing some. Keep learning and you grow, stop learning and you grow old.

Kerry; I had a friend come out from new york city and couldn't believe how friendly my chickens were. Canning season is about up on us and time to lay up for the winter. By the way you can build your own cabin, there's lot's of folks on the forum and others that will answer your questions. Good luck.

I'm 48, 6'1". blonde, full beard. I'm rather mobile at the moment, but would like to settle down. Been down in Mexico for the past few years doing missionary work, but it's time to get back into the USA. I’ve actually been here for a few months.

I'm into organic gardening, kosher foods, permaculture, biodiversity, Xeriscaping, resource conservation, wilderness survival, alternative energy and fuels, native plant and wildlife habitats, foraging from bioregional, traditional indigenous crops. Basically you could say that I choose to live in simplicity so that others have an opportunity to live. I believe personal consumption can and should be minimized. I would sincerely love to meet a group of like minded people I could be a benefit to in a community environment.

I believe with all my heart that Yahushua the Messiah of Israel is the Son of the living Elohim. That He is coming back to reclaim the Earth to rule and reign on His glorious throne. I am a true disciple and doulos of Yahushua HaMoshicach. I am not a 'Jew', but rather followers of Yahushua the Messiah of Israel. Some would label me a 'Messianic' believer but actually I'm a Netsarim. (The first century term for a follower of the Nazarene. Most call Him by a Greek name, Jesus the Christ) I believe He taught His disciples to follow the Torah, His disciples taught their disciples as shown in the book of Acts, but this teaching of the Torah has been lost through the generations. The religious have added to and taken from the pure Word. They have taken the words of Paul of Tarsus and twisted them to mean something different.

It would be nice to find a group of friends who study the Torah and apply it to their lives. If you don't understand what that means, I can explain it to you if you're interested. If you comprehend, then givemea reply.

Currently I am developing a a bio-diesel processor project for a group of non-profit organizations in the South West who feed the poor. I’ve been working with them over the past few years and hope to have it finished before the end of the year.

I’ve chosen to be single for the past 12 years, but I’m open to meeting the right woman with a Kingdom mindset, a Torah lifestyle, and a Yahushua paradigm. “Let this mind be in you….. The mind of Messiah.” His motives, goals and thoughts, yours. Otherwise, I’d just as soon stay single.

And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard (obey) His commands. The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard and obey His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. 1 John 2:3-6

Well I'm recently single again and have had the worst luck dating in my area. Hopefull I can meet someone with common interests and this should be a good place to start. I'm 5'6" tall with short blond hair, blue eyes and weigh about 150lbs. I live in a smal community in West Texas and enjoy the small town lifestyle. I love to garden, fish, hunt, hike and just about anything that involves the outdoors. I work as a fulltime gunsmith and guide some hunts when needed. I also have my own machine/welding/gunsmithing shop that I run on the side. I'm currently purchasing 12 acers that adjoin 2 acers that I already own with the intention of starting a small farm (mostly growing exotic chili peppers to sell at farmers markets and a large personal garden) and building a self sufficient home. I also plan to raise some chickens and goats and maybe game birds. I have tried to post some pics but obveiously I'm computer illiterate, so send me a message or email if you would like some or would just like to chat. Colby

Me..
57, house broke, able to do what needs to be done: dishes, laundry, cooking, sewing, gardening, etc.
Not in too bad of shape for the years, none the worse for wear from all the miles....
Getting ready to head for the hills, with my gear and maybe, find myself a good dog!?
I don't NEED a lady in my life, BUT, I'd sure be a much happier man with some TLC!
Nothing wrong with a friend, a partner, a confidante, and maybe, if it all works out, a LOVER too!?
Ok, so I'm old, I'm NOT dead!
Would appreciate a lady that knows what she wants and able to do what she says.
Now, "IF" you might just happen to be rich....
LOL!
I couldn't handle it!
I'm a simple person and love the quiet and simple lifestyle.
No games, no lies, no time! I'm too darned old and you should know better!
I like animals, and was a nature photographer, and a lot of other professions.
Now, I'm on my own and on disability.
I am Not crippled, and able to do most things, except jumping off buildings or bridges with a bungee cord, or jumping out of perfectly good airplanes!
Just want to have someone to share intelligent conversations with, dig in the garden, feed the chickens, or just to sit and watch those wonderful sunsets!
No mothers wanted, to mommy me.
Age is of little importance, it's the person I want to get to know.
(must warn you, I have a weird and sometimes bizzare sense of humor!)
It's just the way I see the world!
I am Currently located in the North part of Phoenix, but soon, I am looking to relocate to northern Arizona, near the Prescott/Flagstaff areas.

Anybody can do it! Just some pick it up quicker than others. If you practice enough you get better and better. I taught my mother and she does very well now! Still needs help on some of the wording. You have to be specific, short and blunt!!

I don't understand what you mean. One of the only two times I've seen anyone dowse was a 90 year old man that was supposed to be the best in this part of the country... sadly he died about 7 or 8 years ago. But he cut two willow branches and used them and never spoke a word until he found the spot for the well drillers to drill for water. He even told them about how much water there would be.... I was amazed. The other was a guy in his 20's that dowsed and he used two copper rods, that I think were 1/4 inch in diameter and about 3 feet long with the ends bent down in an "L" about 8 inches or so and that was what he held in his hands....the 8"part of the "L". He wasn't right everytime, but the majority of the time he was, from what I was hearing from others. so I guess I don't understand what you mean about the "wording".

ok well that is water dowsing and some people are real good!!!!! now if they knew what else they could do!!! I use it to give people all sorts of information I use a pendulum and a scale to get yes, no and numbers. The more you practice the better you get and the more accurate you are. There are a couple different books out there Raymon Grace has some on his website and Walt Woods wrote Letter to Robin, Learning to Dowse
I can answer more questions if you have them as I do this as one of my jobs.

Upper 40’s female, fit, active, 2 horse owner and use them. Non substance user of any kind, NON religious, non activist, and VERY willing to relocate as in…I am packed!
I like almost anything men do except sports, SciFi, murder shows, drunkenness, nascar. Don’t do much in the way of ladies hobbies. I like intelligence, common sense, outside of the American box and fun. I have farmed, can operate equipment, and know animal husbandry.
But most importantly I am very affectionate and would rather be lonely by myself than lonely with someone.
Anyone out there with compassion, open minded and physically fit?
