I found it is more difficult, the longer you are out of a relationship....
For instance, I have not been in any relationship for over 17 years now!
Maybe I've turned into a grumpy/frumpy old guy type?
Not really set in my ways....I'm as flexible as you can get...I had to be, as I had a total of 8 children, and they taught me a lot along the way!
I'm easy going and not really looking for any specific person or type of lady....
Just someone that wants to be a part of a home and self sufficient lifestyle.
Maybe, "IF" I am lucky, I'll find someone?
I did have one lady that wanted me to up and move to upper state New York, and help her take care of a ranch she has....
But I figured it best IF she got a divorce first!
I am funny like that!
"OLD FASHIONED"?
Another lady wanted me to move to Lansing, Michigan...
NO way!
I can't handle the snow, or the city life!
Maybe something not quite so far way, or so far north?
Am I being too picky?
We have a long growing season here in Arizona, but, the soil in certain areas is really hard to work with too!
Any suggestions?
Is there a place to look for a partner, in certain areas of the country?
Like "southwest"?

I suggest raised beds for your gardening needs.

Stay or go where you will be happy. If you would be happy with a person in the city then go there. Although it would take a really special person to get one to live in the city.

Working on moving the materials from my raised beds here in the city..
Not going to be easy!
The 2 x 12 frames, yes, the rest is something else again!

Unfortunately, in the area I plan to move to, there are few, IF any, single females, and I suspect they are NOT about to leave their current residence' and move into nowhere!
It's at least some 20 miles from the nearest town...
No street signs, and few roads, that disappear when it rains or snows!
I do have to go into town every month to get water.....
People living in town, some have water delivered to their homes, which I am unable to do, as I have no physical address.
Same goes for propane!

I did however, manage to get a dog, a "Queensland Heeler", 2 years old and good mannered, partially trained.
I guess that's something!???

I'm curious as to why you cannot sink a well...is there no water under ground? or is it too deep?

There is an aquifer in the area, BUT, it is deep!
I've been told it runs about 1,400 feet deep in town, south and 20+ miles away from where I want to be.
The cost is astronomical!
$1,000.00 per foot to drill, and there are NO guarantees you'll even hit water at that level.
The land itself, is mostly rolling hills, and the altitude is about 5,100 ft +/-.
Not a lot of snow accumulation, but cold, and a lot of winds.
Good for wind generation, but from what I heard, it's not good for a windmill.

that's what I figured, that the water was deep. Wow! That IS expensive!

I use to live in the upper Mojave desert, so I know what you mean about wind. Too much would tear up windmills.

too bad you couldn't find a "spring" on your property, they are out there.....somewhere....lol!
