I know I want someone who shares my desire for a simple country lifestyle. But right now I'm living in a growing city in Florida. I've tried several online dating sites and some forums with subjects that interest me, but nothing yet. Because it's been a while since I've posted on the BHM forum, I thought I'd try this again.

I'm 46 (almost 47), one child (almost 9) who's with me during the week. I have a relatively stable job working in a retirement home. The bank owns my house, but I'm making the payments. The motor finance company owns my car, but I'm also making payments on that. I am working through my issues little by little.

In the future I'd like to have a few acres in the mountains (most likely in the Southeast US), an off-grid home, big garden, maybe a few animals. Getting there from here seems like a huge obstacle to me right now. But that's been the goal for many years.

I have very diverse views on religion, politics, and the like. I enjoy history, learning about how things were done in the "old days", football (college and pro), basketball (college only), and sometimes baseball (though I haven't followed a particular team for a long time). I also like NASCAR. Guns are fine, but I see them as tools rather than toys. I love to read, enjoy gardening (as long as I can avoid the fire ants!), and I like music--almost anything except heavy metal. I love to sing.

Okay, anyone out there interested in correspondence?

Wow, that's what my mom said with I met my present lady. She emailed me from on line(Thanksgiving 2006), and had her in bed the next week. We've been in bed ever since.....Oh yeah, what a woman.

No, gmail is a legitimate one. Everyone with an erector set and six fiberoptic wires has his own domain name now.
