More New Babies!!!!

Today, on the 31st day, the two year old black Satin doe (rabbit) that I bought on January 4th, gave us 7 new bebees! I am so excited! They all look to be about the same size and all of them black (The buck was red. I was hoping for some red ones too.)

I'll post a picture in a few days. I don't want to disturb the new mama and babes too much.

I felt like a little kid waiting for Christmas for her to birth.

Holy moly! I mated another doe to the buck the same day as the older doe, but I didn't think she took. I mated them one after the other and then read somewhere to give the buck some time to recuperate after mating to build up his "oomph" well, I read that about a week after and thought, well, I'll just wait to mate the junior doe later then.

Well apparently he needed no time for his "oomph" to recover, because this morning when I went to water the rabbits, I found her box full of wiggling fur. She had seven kits in there!

I've calculated that between all the people, pets and livestock I now have in the house, we have a total of 27 beating hearts.

I just love baby pics. They are so small :).
