I need to update what I use for a drafting / drawing program. I don't need something as complicated, expensive or difficult as the latest version of auto-cad, but I need something. I am looking for something easy to learn and use, cheap, but able to do dimensioned drawings, able to find coordinates of points off the drawing, etc... So any of you have suggestions, advice?

Its been a couple of years since I was in the loop, but ther used to be Autocad lite and I belive a light version of mechanical desktop that may fit your needs.
Sorry can't be more help,

Go to www://www.download.com You can get all sorts of freeware and shareware programs for most operating systems and if you don;t like anything there try tucows as well.
