Went to create a hotmail account and I see at the bottom in the fine print that "charges" are mentioned. Do they charge for new accounts?

I have a hotmail account and they don't charge me anything. If you just go with the basic, free account, you should be fine. I think the charges only apply when you sign up for a premium account with more bells and whistles.

I use msnbc as my home page on my laptop. That way one click and I can access my free hot mail account.
I like hotmail, the big plus NO SPAM. Not one.
On our PC in our office we use the email provided through our ISP, we average 140 + spams aday. Really sucks.......Weez
